Aerodynamics
This department is responsible for every analysis necessary for the design and manufacturing process. The Department is going to be divided into four of the most important areas in Aerodynamics and Vehicle Performance: Design, Performance, Wind Tunnel Testing and Fluent Simulation.

It has the responsibility of making all the necessary analysis required by the design process and the rules of the competition. Also, it must make sure that the members of the Team are working according to the Aerodynamic and Vehicle Performance parameters.

The Department must take the vehicle through the design process and calculate the initial parameters for designing, then a process of iteration must be done until a satisfying design is achieved, also the performance parameter must be calculated within the design process. A wind tunnel testing of different components of the aircraft need to be done in order to compare the results with the calculated parameters. Then, a rigorous simulation of the design must be done on FLUENT to verify the calculated parameters, wind tunnel testing results and prototype testing results. The task of the Aerodynamics Department is one of the most important parts of the Solar Car Design Project and it is one of much responsibility.
